Dutch AG Offers a Thoughtful Opinion on B of A - LaSalle Deal

On June 26, the Advocate General to the Dutch Supreme Court announced the results of his analysis of the appeal by ABN AMRO (ABN), Barclays (BCS), and Bank of America(BAC) regarding a lower court's mandate that the B of A - LaSalle deal be submitted to a shareholder vote by ABN AMRO. The Advocate General advised the Dutch Supreme Court that ABN AMRO does not have to submit this deal for shareholder approval. His advice is non-binding on the Dutch Supreme Court.
